Behaviour Mentor Full-Time | £90 - £110

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with several specialist SEN schools across Preston, seeking Behaviour Mentors to support pupils with challenging behaviours and additional needs.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Providing tailored support to pupils with a range of social, emotional and behavioural needs, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and behavioural difficulties.

  • Working closely with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure pupils remain engaged and supported in their learning.

  • Supporting students both individually and in small groups to help manage behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.

  • Taking part in ongoing training and professional development, with access to accredited CPD courses and specialist behavioural management techniques.

What We're Looking For:
  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with additional needs or challenging behaviour-whether in education, youth work, care, or intervention settings.

  • Confidence, patience, and a proactive attitude to working in demanding educational environments.

  • Desirable but not essential: Teaching Assistant Level 2/3 qualification, or experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or Youth Mentor.

  • A valid Enhanced Child-only DBS (on the update service), or willingness to apply for one.

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
