Seasonal Gardener - Local Council Opportunity (Preston Region)
Location: Preston & Surrounding Areas
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 4 weeks (potential to be extended)
Hours: 42 hours per week
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: 14.10 per hour
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Seasonal Gardener to join the grounds maintenance team working with the local council in the Preston area.
This is a hands-on role, with duties including:
- Grass cutting, strimming, and general grounds maintenance in parks and cemeteries
- Litter picking and keeping the grounds clean and presentable
- Repairing and installing park equipment
- Use of mechanical digger for digging graves
- Assisting with public space upkeep, including planting and maintaining verges and contracted sites
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in grounds or garden maintenance is preferred
- A proactive and reliable team player
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
