Regional Health and Safety Advisor Permanent North West & North Wales My client is a regional main contractor with a variety of divisions within the business structure. Due to continued project wins, they are looking for a regional health and safety advisor. They have successfully secured a position on large scale framework delivering projects within Civils, utilities and water, so candidates with this background would be of particular interest. Those with FM would also be considered for the position. They require an experienced health and safety advisor to join the team covering both Northwest and North Wales regions, Key Responsibilities• Provide professional, technical, practical and competent health, safety and wellbeing advice, guidance and support as required.• Produce written health, safety and wellbeing policies, processes, advice, and guidance documentation and update them following any changes, in-line with the document control process, and ensure they align to legal and other requirements, and our policy commitments.• Undertake a schedule of programmed workplace inspections to support our active monitoring processes in compliance with ISO45001:2018.• Produce and undertake internal audits as part of our audit process in compliance with ISO 45001:2018.• When instructed develop and deliver health and safety training sessions, where competent to do so.• Advise managers on health and safety training needs and competence requirements.• Support the management in the recording of work-related accidents and incidents for workers (employees and non-employees) and, where necessary, report them to the relevant enforcing authority.• On occasions it may be decided that the H&S Advisor should take the lead with investigations.• Monitor the health and safety performance indicators and provide updates to the Board of Trustees (BoT), the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Managers as relevant.• Use executive powers (on behalf of the Group MD, the BoT and the SLT) to stop any work activitiesSkills and knowledge• Appropriate qualification holding a NEBOSH diploma or equivalent.• Industry background in general Construction or Civil Engineering, Facilities Management and / or Care• Membership of IOSH.• Appropriate IT skills including the use of company software packages.• High level communication and negotiation skills.• Information management skills.• Ability to motivate and influence people.• Time management skill• Decision making and problem solving within extent of personal responsibility.To apply for position please email your CV to or contact me on Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
