Are you a SEN Teaching Assistant ready for a new role?Â
Would you like to work in an SEN setting in Preston, supporting children within the classroom?
We are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants for a full-time role in an SEN school in Preston.
You will be supporting children aged 8-18Â 1-1 or within small groups. Pupils within the school have varying needs, including autism, learning disabilities and complex needs.
Key Requirements:
- Experience and understanding of how to support young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs
- School experience supporting students in a classroom or 1-1Â
- References covering the last two years
- Hold a current DBS on the update service, or are willing to complete a new DBS
- The Right to Work in the UK
Duties will include:
- Supporting and supervising educational games, sports, and craft activities
- Preparing the classroom before lessons
- Working with pupils in small groups and working 1:1 with children with additional needs
- Putting together displays of children’s work
- Supporting teachers in managing class behaviour
- Helping children who need extra support to complete tasks
- Supervising group activities
