About the Company

A market-leading FMCG manufacturing company in the Preston area is seeking a highly capable and hands-on SHE Manager to lead, influence, and embed a strong Health & Safety culture across the site. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SHE Manager who enjoys driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Role:

As the SHE Manager, you will be responsible for all Health, Safety and Environmental matters on site, ensuring compliance and championing proactive behaviours. This role suits a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable being visible on the shop floor and leading from the front.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a positive SHE culture across the site as the dedicated SHE Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and internal company standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement through audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Deliver SHE training and coaching at all levels.
  • Support sustainability and environmental initiatives.
  • Partner with site leadership to embed best practice across all operations.

About You:

  • Proven experience as an SHE Manager or similar H&S leadership role within FMCG, food, beverage, or manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage teams at all levels.
  • Hands-on approach with excellent technical knowledge of H&S legislation and compliance.
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards) is highly advantageous.
  • Passionate about developing a positive safety culture.
