A leading aerospace and defence organization is seeking an Engineering Manager to drive innovation and excellence across cutting-edge air defence projects. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of air defence technology, working across high-profile programmes such as electric air vehicles, uncrewed air systems, and next-generation fighter aircraft.
Your role as an Engineering Manager:
- Leading and developing engineering teams delivering complex, multi-disciplinary solutions.
- Managing the full engineering lifecycle from concept to in-service support.
- Collaborating across functions (engineering, project management, HR) to optimize team performance.
- Ensuring robust engineering governance, process adherence, and technical excellence.
- Championing innovative approaches, including Model-Based Engineering and cutting-edge toolsets.
- Proven experience managing large teams to deliver complex engineering solutions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and IT skills.
- Knowledge of systems engineering practices and lifecycle management.
- STEM degree or Chartered Engineer status.
- Experience in regulated industries (aerospace, defence, automotive, etc.).
- Familiarity with engineering tools, methods, and Model-Based Engineering approaches.
- £50,000 - £70,000 base (DOE)
- Bonus: Up to 10%
