Construction Planner

Manchester

£75,000 - £80,000 + Package

Our client is a well established construction business based in Lancashire delivering high-quality student accommodation, residential apartments, education and leisure projects across the North West.

The Role:
We are seeking a Construction Planner with a strong grasp of both build sequencing and design coordination to join our growing delivery team. This is a key role supporting both pre-construction and live project teams by developing and managing detailed programmes that integrate both design and construction activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust construction programmes using Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject.
  • Integrate design stages into the construction programme, ensuring coordination between design deliverables and build milestones.
  • Liaise with architects, consultants, and internal teams to align design outputs with construction timelines.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and update schedules accordingly.
  • Support bid submissions and pre-construction activities with programme input and methodology.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Design Managers to identify programme challenges and propose solutions.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Planner in the construction industry, preferably on mixed-use, residential, or hospitality projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction methodologies and sequencing.
  • Understanding of RIBA design stages and experience integrating design into project programmes.
  • Proficiency in Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6, or similar planning software.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Degree or qualification in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is advantageous.
