Our client is a well established construction business based in Lancashire delivering high-quality student accommodation, residential apartments, education and leisure projects across the North West.
The Role:
We are seeking a Construction Planner with a strong grasp of both build sequencing and design coordination to join our growing delivery team. This is a key role supporting both pre-construction and live project teams by developing and managing detailed programmes that integrate both design and construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop robust construction programmes using Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject.
- Integrate design stages into the construction programme, ensuring coordination between design deliverables and build milestones.
- Liaise with architects, consultants, and internal teams to align design outputs with construction timelines.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and update schedules accordingly.
- Support bid submissions and pre-construction activities with programme input and methodology.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Design Managers to identify programme challenges and propose solutions.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Planner in the construction industry, preferably on mixed-use, residential, or hospitality projects.
- Strong working knowledge of construction methodologies and sequencing.
- Understanding of RIBA design stages and experience integrating design into project programmes.
- Proficiency in Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6, or similar planning software.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Degree or qualification in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is advantageous.
