What You'll Be Doing
  • Maintain and manage the company's risk register

  • Audit internal processes, practices and documents to identify areas for improvement

  • Advise on business activity risk, policy compliance and mitigation strategies

  • Collaborate with external auditors and advisors

  • Lead and support crisis or compliance incident plans

  • Partner with Learning & Development to maintain relevant training modules

  • Stay ahead of legislative changes and industry best practice

What We're Looking For
  • A strong background in compliance, audit, risk or legal/regulatory roles

  • Someone who loves detail, but also sees the bigger picture

  • Commercial acumen-you understand how to make compliance commercially viable

  • A people person: approachable, clear, and a confident business partner

  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK regulations (GDPR, AML, Consumer Protection, etc.)

  • Retail or regulated sector experience is a big plus
