A long established building and maintenance contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a diverse range of works within the public sector. This organisation delivers works to local authorities, housing associations, and educational institutions, with projects ranging from responsive repairs and maintenance through to full-scale building renovations.

KeyResponsibilities

  • Lead and manage several construction projects from inception through to completion

  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans

  • Produce detailed labour lists in collaboration with internal teams

  • Coordinate RAMS (risk assessments and method statements) with health & safety consultants

  • Oversee all on-site activities, including subcontractor supervision and quality checks

  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget

  • Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, and internal departments

  • Attend site meetings, provide progress updates, and produce project reports

  • Promote best practices in health and safety across all project phases

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any site issues or delays



What You'll Need

  • Proven experience in a similar role

  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations

  • Full, clean UK driver's licence

  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check if required
