Our client, a leading company in the water infrastructure sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a contract basis in Preston. As a Senior QS, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing water infrastructure projects within the UU region. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to significant projects while working outside IR35.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing all aspects of quantity surveying for water infrastructure projects
  • Preparing and analysing project costings, estimates, and budgets
  • Conducting valuation processes for ongoing works
  • Negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with contract documents
  • Providing advice on contractual claims and disputes
  • Overseeing procurement processes and managing subcontractors
  • Monitoring project progress and ensuring timely delivery within budget
  • Preparing and presenting detailed reports to stakeholders


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the water infrastructure sector
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles and practices
  • Proficiency in preparing detailed cost plans and estimates
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
  • Understanding of contract law and claims management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively on a contract basis, outside IR35
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in surveying or a related field
