What you'll do:
As a Commodity Buyer, you will bring sourcing expertise and best practice knowledge to generate savings and efficiency's across a wide range of Indirect categories. You will be responsible for stakeholder management, strategic procurement of goods and services for all relevant Indirect categories, supplier management, and the operational and tactical activities. Your role will also involve managing and implementing internal governance control policies related to Procurement functions.
- Identify and lead Procurement activities bringing cost savings.
- Participate in full end-to-end tendering activities, including e-Auctions.
- Engage in supplier negotiations.
- Manage supplier selection, on boarding, and contract preparation.
- Provide active and frequent support to local and global internal and external stakeholders.
- Adhere to and maintain all Procurement processes and systems in line with company Policies.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Commodity Buyer position is someone who is passionate about Procurement. You should have previous procurement experience managing a wide range of suppliers. Being proactive, highly motivated with a self-starter attitude is essential. Excellent communication, interpersonal, networking skills are required to build effective relationships and influence a wide variety of stakeholders. Commitment to deliverabl and deadlines is crucial.
- Advanced skills in sourcing, supplier relationship management, influencing (internally and externally), and supplier compliance.
- Core procurement skills in negotiation, risk mitigation, contract management, supply base development.
- Understanding of complex factory environments and interconnected functions.
- Good understanding of financial basics and appreciation of supply chains.
- Sharp with IT systems and numbers.
- Strong record of value delivery.
