We have a great opportunity for an Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a family run fantastic furniture factory that has been trading for over a century. A trade that has historically has a strong tradition in high Wycombe.
This company pride themselves in manufacturing top quality furniture, constantly evolving to match the needs of its clients.
The role is essentially electrical fault finding and fixing and machinery maintenance and repairs.
The salary is £35,000 per annum.
Hours are typically 8 hours a day Monday to Thursday and 6 hours on Fridays.
The Company operates a flexible day shift pattern, based around a standard 39-hour week which follows seasonal order intake. The availability to work overtime is essential, which is paid at favourable rates
You will be expected to be on call on a rota base in the unlikely event there may be an out of hours emergency, so it is essential that you are driver.
Three to Five years of experience is required along with an HNC in Electrical engineering or equivalent qualification; previous apprentice training is a must.
Inhouse training is provided such a working at heights, close space training and evacuation training.
Skills Required
- Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer bias towards electrical
- Holds a relevant Maintenance engineering qualification such as BTEC level 3/HNC
- Be able to fault find on complex machinery
- Experience with CNC machinery.
- Electrical - 3 phase, AC-DC invertor drives, servo-motors, relays, contactors, control panels
- The ability to read machinery schematic drawings
- Attending breakdowns and working to ensure machinery downtime is kept to a minimum
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance using CMMS systems
- A flexible aptitude to be prepared to tackle any task mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a production environment.
