On behalf of our client, a global leader in hygiene and health manufacturing, we are seeking a talented and proactive Electrical Technician to join their high-performing team at the company’s flagship UK site in Prudhoe.

The Role

This isn’t just a maintenance job—it’s a critical position supporting the infrastructure of a 24/7 site that manufactures iconic household brands. You’ll work as part of the Site Services team, ensuring that essential utilities, buildings, and facilities operate reliably and efficiently.

Reporting to the Site Services Leader, you’ll collaborate with both mechanical and electrical technicians, managing a range of responsibilities from hands-on maintenance to long-term improvement projects.

This is a day-based, Monday to Friday role, offering an excellent work-life balance while providing daily technical challenges and long-term development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support the electrical supply to site utilities and infrastructure

  • Oversee electrical maintenance of site buildings, offices, and support systems

  • Manage external contractors, including planning, quoting, permitting, and supervising works

  • Perform preventative, routine, and reactive electrical maintenance

  • Contribute to the development of maintenance methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Adapt flexibly to site priorities and collaborate closely with operations teams

About You

We’re looking for someone with strong electrical engineering expertise and a proactive mindset. You’ll be effective at working both independently and as part of a wider team, with the ability to juggle daily challenges in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrable skills and experience in electrical engineering (maintenance and installation)

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (preferred, not essential)

  • Proven experience working with contractors in an industrial or manufacturing environment

  • Competence in electrical installations, fixed wiring inspections, lighting systems, and fire protection alarms

  • Confident communicator with a solutions-focused approach

  • IT literate - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ideally SAP

  • Flexible, responsive, and safety-conscious with a continuous improvement mindset
