Our client is looking to recruit an exciting, newly created Finance Manager into their growing finance function. This role will stand alone withing the finance function reporting directly to the Finance Director.
- Oversee daily financial operations, including budgeting and forecasting
- Prepare monthly management accounts and analysis against set budgets
- Prepare quarterly vat returns
- Prepare annual financial statements with assistance from external professional advisors
- Collaborate with operational colleagues to develop a suite of Management Information to drive both operational and financial performance
- Develop, agree and implement effective financial policies and procedures
- Monitor cashflow and manage financial risks effectively
- Actively participate and input to business improvement projects across finance and the wider business
The Successful Applicant
- A professional qualification in accounting, such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA or qualified by experience
- Strong technical expertise in financial reporting and compliance
- Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills - experience of developing system improvements a distinct advantage
- A great communicator, able to decipher technical information and translate in a way that a wider multi disciplined management team will understand
