About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Science Technician to join a thriving secondary school in Bradford for a part-time maternity cover, working 3 days per week from September 2025. You will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of engaging and safe science lessons across KS3 to KS5.

Essential Requirements
- Experience working in a science lab, ideally in a school or educational environment
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and COSHH guidelines
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Key Responsibilities
- Preparing practical equipment and materials for science lessons
- Setting up apparatus and ensuring functionality before lessons
- Supporting teachers in the delivery of experiments
- Maintaining a clean and safe lab environment
- Assisting with inventory checks and stock control
- Ordering equipment and consumables
- Supporting students during practical activities where required
- Liaising with teaching staff to anticipate lesson requirements
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Keeping risk assessments up to date
- Organising and maintaining prep rooms and storage areas
- Supporting science clubs or enrichment activities as needed
