We are seeking an exceptional Teacher of Music to join a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Pudsey, starting in September 2025. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering the opportunity to inspire students through a knowledge-rich, engaging curriculum that fosters creativity and inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging Music lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Prepare students for performance-based and written assessments, including GCSE Music.
  • Use varied teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Encourage a love for music and active participation in musical activities across the school.
  • Take part in curriculum development, extracurricular events, and trips.
  • Assess and monitor student progress regularly.
  • Contribute to departmental meetings and CPD opportunities.
  • Support the inclusive and aspirational ethos of the school community.
Essential Requirements
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Music and a good understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable Attributes
  • Experience using technology in the music classroom.
  • Ability to lead or support extracurricular ensembles, choirs or music productions.
  • A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to equity and opportunity.
