Offering £28,000 - £37,000 (DOQ) Basic Salary plus Overtime OTE >£48,000 &Benefits
Our client is an established fabrication business based in the Pudsey area. Due to continued growth and customer demand, they are currently recruiting an experienced Gas Engineer to assist with new installations, breakdowns, servicing and repairs.
The Gas Engineer position is mainly field based and requires regular travel across the UK to complete servicing, breakdowns, repairs and commissioning of new installations on customer sites.
Working within a small installation team, a typical working week would involve, working either 8 or 10 hour shifts (Monday to Thursday) away from home on customer site throughout the UK. Following this, then being onsite on a Friday until 12pm, to help organise and stock the van for the week ahead.
Gas Engineer - Responsibilities
Maintenance/Installation of commercial equipment, gas, electric or LPG (although LPG experience is not essential).
Working to technical drawings to install and build equipment.
Breakdown and fault finding and associated return / repair work.
Annual servicing of bespoke equipment.
Be customer focused and liaising directly with customer onsite.
Manage diary and time effectively, liaising with head office with regards installation updates and technical queries.
Gas Engineer - Preferred Skills, Competencies & Experience (Ideally)
Be an experienced Gas Engineer, ideally with Commercial exposure.
Gas Safe Commercial Qualifications Comcat 1,2,3 & 5 highly desirable.
A full driving licence and available to work away from home Monday Thursday to meet customer requirements.
Be team orientated with the ability to work on your own initiative.
Possess good communication and customer skills.
The Gas Engineer is offering £28,000 - £37,000 (DOQ) basic salary plus overtime (paid 1.5 times hourly rate) potential OTE >£48,000 for the successful candidate. A company van with fuel card is provided, paid door to door when working on customer site, uniform and PPE given, with power/testing tools and works tablet provided.
Typically Gas Engineers would work either an 8 or 10 hour shifts, Monday to Thursday, then Friday until 12pm onsite, to help organise and stock van for week ahead. No weekend work required.
The Gas Engineer is a full-time, permanent opportunity, providing further development and formal training available and funded for the successful candidate.
