As a Teacher of English, you will play a key part in delivering a rich and engaging curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4. You'll be instrumental in nurturing a love for language and literature, while also supporting students to develop analytical skills and self-expression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons in line with national curriculum expectations.
  • Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment where all students feel valued and confident.
  • Use assessment effectively to inform planning and provide meaningful feedback to drive progress.
  • Contribute to the development of department resources, schemes of work, and enrichment activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school to promote high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Support the individual needs of students, including those with SEND or EAL, to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Participate in school-wide activities, parent communication, and professional development.
