Senior Architectural Technologist

Location: West Sussex

Salary: 40-46,000 DOE

I'm partnering with an award-winning architectural practice to recruit a Senior Architectural Technologist for their creative and collaborative studio in West Sussex. This dynamic team delivers an impressive portfolio spanning residential, mixed-use, hospitality, and commercial projects, guiding each scheme from concept to completion. As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you'll play a key role in project coordination and delivery, leading design teams while maintaining close communication with clients, consultants, and contractors. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project delivery through RIBA Stages 4-6, with a focus on residential and mixed-use developments.
  • Prepare and coordinate comprehensive working drawing packages, including plans, sections, elevations, schedules, and detailed technical information.
  • Manage coordination between consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Act as the primary client contact, providing clear, consistent, and professional communication throughout all project phases.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering technical quality and collaborative working.


About You

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Architectural Technology (CIAT accreditation advantageous).
  • Proven technical experience on medium to large-scale projects (typically 5m+ construction value).
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and Housing Standards.
  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
  • Confident working both independently and within a collaborative studio environment.
  • Highly skilled in technical detailing and familiar with modern methods of construction.
