We are working in partnership with a leading global procurement services provider to identify a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join their expanding team at their Crawley head office.

This organisation supports infrastructure projects both in the UK and internationally, supplying a wide range of specialist equipment and materials. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a confident procurement professional who can develop supplier relationships, manage complex orders, and deliver high-value outcomes.

The RoleYou will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring technical materials and equipment across various categories. With an emphasis on supplier management and value-driven sourcing, you will liaise with both UK and global clients and suppliers to ensure successful and compliant procurement delivery.Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure materials, services, and equipment across the infrastructure sector
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual terms to ensure best value
  • Prepare and manage supplier bids, quotations, and evaluations
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure client requirements are clearly understood and met
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier communications
  • Ensure timely processing of sales orders and seamless handovers to the expediting team
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the procurement function

About You:

  • Strong procurement experience within infrastructure, construction, or engineering sectors
  • Solid network of UK-based suppliers and manufacturers
  • Commercially savvy with strong negotiation and supplier evaluation skills
  • Technically competent with mechanical or electro-mechanical product knowledge
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively under pressure
  • Familiar with international logistics, Incoterms, and trade compliance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel); CRM or ERP experience desirable
  • French language skills are a bonus, but not essential
  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK
