Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking to shape the future of a finance function within a growing, hands-on environment?

Our client is a dynamic, privately-owned SME with a strong track record in the infrastructure and equipment supply sector. As the business embarks on an exciting growth journey—including new site openings and operational expansion—they are seeking a capable and forward-thinking Management Accountant to help drive their finance function forward.

The Role

You will begin by ensuring all transactional finance activity runs smoothly, covering bookkeeping, invoicing, payroll, supplier payments, and reconciliations. Once embedded, the remit will grow to include:

  • Developing monthly departmental P&Ls and reporting packs for leadership
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning—particularly for new site launches
  • Evaluating systems and driving automation, reporting dashboards, and ERP upgrades
  • Strengthening internal controls and supporting audit and compliance processes
  • Acting as a key financial business partner to senior stakeholders

About You

To succeed, you’ll bring a mix of hands-on capability and strategic curiosity. You’ll likely be:

  • ACCA/CIMA part or fully qualified
  • Proficient in Xero or a similar cloud-based system
  • Confident across reconciliations, credit control, payroll, VAT, and CIS
  • Experienced in preparing management accounts and cash flow forecasts
  • Comfortable juggling operational tasks with the development of new systems and processes

Desirable experience includes involvement in ERP implementations, multi-site operations, or working in a scaling SME environment.

Why Apply?

  • A unique opportunity to shape the finance function of a growing business
  • Work closely with operational decision-makers and influence strategic direction
  • Be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking leadership team
  • Real scope for progression as the company grows and the finance team evolves
