About the Role:

Nurseplus is looking for dedicated and compassionate Mental health support workers  to join our expanding team. you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals during some of their most challenging times. Key Responsibilities:

• Managing acute episodes and responding to mental health crises, de-escalating aggressive or high-risk behaviour.
• Offering therapeutic support such as one-to-one counselling, group therapy, or cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).
• Developing and monitoring individualised care plans to support emotional and mental well-being.
• Advocating for patient rights, ensuring dignity and respect in every interaction.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive and compassionate care.
• Assessing and monitoring at-risk patients for signs of suicidal ideation or self-harm, intervening swiftly to ensure safety.

  What We’re Looking For:
  • At least 6 months of professional care experience (mental health experiance preferred)

  • A compassionate and reliable approach to supporting vulnerable individuals

  • Experience with clinical tasks such as tracheostomy, suctioning, or PEG (training may be provided)

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to complete)

  • A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is advantageous

  • A clear Enhanced DBS check (we can help with this)

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
