We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our friendly and inclusive Birmingham primary schools.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with a range of additional needs — including autism (ASC), speech and language difficulties, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND

  • Assisting with classroom management and differentiated learning

  • Supporting pupils to develop independence, confidence, and social skills

  • Liaising with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure each child thrives

  • Contributing to a nurturing, inclusive and positive learning environment

About You:

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Patient, empathetic and enthusiastic about helping children succeed

  • Experienced in supporting children with SEN (school-based experience preferred)

  • Confident working as part of a team and using their initiative

  • Adaptable, reliable and proactive in supporting classroom learning

  • (Ideally) Level 2 or 3 qualified in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
