Our client based in Radstock are seeking a skilled Labourer to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Job:The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in various tasks across different projects, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and safely. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow instructions closely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment
- Assist in mechanical installation works
- Perform general site maintenance and clean-up duties
- Operate basic hand tools and machinery as required
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks on time
- Report any issues or hazards to the supervisor promptly
- Support skilled tradespeople with their tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Experience in mechanical installation works
- Understanding of treatment works process - desirable
- Previous experience in a labouring role is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy items
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities
- A valid driver’s licence - essential
- CSCS card - essential
- City and Guilds medium risk confined space certificate - desirable
