Are you an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician ready to come off the tools and into the classroom?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking department as a Motor Vehicle Trainer, delivering a mix of practical and theory-based learning to full-time learners and apprentices - with full teacher and assessor training provided if you're new to education.
In this rewarding role, you'll support learners from Level 1 up to Level 4, guiding them through technical learning, workshop tasks, assessments, and preparation for End Point Assessments (EPA). You'll also play a key role in personal tutoring, curriculum development, and ensuring learners are work-ready for the industry.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the motor vehicle trade, a Level 3 qualification (or higher), and the desire to pass on their skills to the next generation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified motor vehicle technician to step off the tools and into a rewarding role working with the next generation.
The Role
Deliver Motor Vehicle lessons (practical and theory) up to Level 4
Teach full-time students and apprentices, preparing them for EPA
Create lesson plans, assessment materials, and schemes of work
Act as a personal tutor, supporting progress, wellbeing and career goals
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging workshop environment
The Person
Level 3 (or above) qualification in Motor Vehicle
Industry experience in automotive service and repair
Passionate about developing the next generation of technicians
Teaching or assessing qualifications desirable - training provided
Based within a commutable distance of Radstock
