At Saint Gobain Industrial Ceramics we are looking a Part Qualified (finalist) Management Accountant work in our Finance team in Rainford, WA11 8LP

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small and dynamic team based onsite at our manufacturing site. Here you will be responsible for providing accurate, timely and reliable financial data support, stock costing and income statements for the site. This exciting role offers the right candidate a development opportunity to progress your career into a Head of Finance role.

Saint Gobain Industrial Ceramics is part of Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland and lead the industry in design, development and production of Engineered Ceramics and Refractory products

What we're looking for:

  • Part Qualified (finalist) accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical skills, with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communication skills, with ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders (budget holders) across the organisation - nationally and internationally.
  • Translating complex data into simple to understand information.
  • Organisation skills. With the ability to work to tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Ability to input into and influence strategic business decision making.
  • Working knowledge of the commercial aspects of business.
  • Intermediate/Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Good working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
  • Experience of SAP is preferable, and Business Information essential.
  • Full driving license.

What you will be doing:

In this role as a Management Accountant, you will:

  • To provide SAP based reporting and Costing support.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and SAP Month End Closing (MEC).
  • Compile and provide monthly reports monitoring utility activity, maintenance, and labour hours.
  • To prepare monthly technical, production activity and value, employment evolution and energy consumption for management.
  • To raise manual invoices recharging various costs to subsidiary and external companies and provide details to Shared Service Centre (SSC) for processing.
  • To provide product costing's thereby ensuring stocks can be properly valued.
  • To monitor capital expenditure and disposals of projects and ensure that depreciation is calculated monthly.
  • To reconcile various general ledger accounts relating to payroll, stock, prepayments, accruals as agreed by the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • To organising and control the monthly cycle count with production.
  • To help in the preparation of Statutory Accounts and Corporation Tax.
  • To aid in the preparation of Annual Tax Questionnaire for UK Professional Services.
  • Compile base data for planning and budgeting on an annual basis and entry to SAP - Costs and Activity.
