Our client, a Supply Chain Logistics company, are currently looking to recruit an Ocean Import Customer Services Coordinator to join their team in Rainham.

You will be given the opportunity to work remotely up to 3 days per week.

As the Import Customer Services Coordinator, you will provide excellent customer service to the Import clientele of the company, acting as the direct point of contact for clients and provide ad-hoc freight quotations on request, using every opportunity to up-sell the company's services.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be managing container movements for imported goods, ensuring consignments are moved on time, and ensuring all data is kept up to date on the systems.

Other duties of the Ocean Import Customer Services Coordinator:

  • Manage Import container movements on behalf of clients
  • Work closely with origin offices to ensure consignments move correctly and on time
  • Provide transactional service supports such as Customs clearance and haulage
  • Communicate and escalate to team members and Management wherever necessary
  • Ensure total accuracy of all information and high standards of operational service are met at all times
  • Observe deadlines and SOP
  • Generate and maintain control sheets to fully track and audit all consignments accurately
  • Monitor and control all cost and revenue at job-file level

The successful Ocean Import Customer Services Coordinator will have previous experience in Ocean Freight Forwarding, excellent customer service skills, and good administration skills.

We are keen to speak with candidates who have excellent stakeholder management skills, good communication skills - both written and verbal, and basic IT skills (i.e. MS Office).
