Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Art faculty, including Visual Art, Drama, and Design Technology.
- Inspire a team of teachers to deliver creative, ambitious lessons aligned with national curriculum standards.
- Cultivate a rich arts culture through performances, exhibitions, and community projects.
- Champion student creativity and ensure inclusive access to artistic opportunities for all learners.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and lead cross-school developments alongside SLT.
- Monitor progress and performance, providing mentorship and development for arts staff.
Requirements
- Fully qualified teacher with QTS, PGCE, or QTLS and a specialism in Art, Drama, or a related subject.
- Proven leadership or middle management experience in an educational setting.
- Strong track record of teaching across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) with evidence of impact.
- A genuine passion for creative education and student empowerment.
- Proven ability to organise effectively, communicate clearly, and collaborate well with others.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
- Must provide two professional references from your most recent roles.
