Responsibilities

  • Deliver creative Science lessons adapted to diverse learning styles.
  • Teach biology, chemistry, and/or physics in line with national curriculum standards.
  • Encourage students to develop analytical thinking, keen observation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Promote STEM initiatives and contribute to Science-focused enrichment activities.
  • Track progress and provide personalised feedback to support student growth and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to drive cross-curricular links and innovative approaches to learning.

Requirements

  • A UK-recognised teaching qualification (QTS or QTLS or PGCE).
  • In-depth understanding of Science curriculum and contemporary instructional methods.
  • Background in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) levels.
  • A current enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or readiness to obtain one.
  • Two recent references from professional teaching positions.
  • Comfortable with digital tools and practical lab-based learning.
