About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing tailored support to help them thrive in the classroom. You will collaborate with teachers and SENCO to implement individual learning strategies, assist with classroom activities, and ensure every child has access to an inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and differentiation
  • Encouraging social interaction and emotional development
  • Implementing strategies to support children with additional learning needs
  • Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in a school setting
  • Knowledge of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and Speech & Language needs (preferred)
  • A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
