Manual Grinder (Machinist)

We're seeking a driven and experienced individual to join our team in a critical role that supports high-quality standards in a specialist industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate manual grinding machines to produce or repair high-precision components.
  • Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings to meet strict quality requirements.
  • Accurately grind parts to extremely tight tolerances (micron/thou level).
  • Prioritise workload effectively to meet production deadlines without compromising on quality.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures while maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.
  • Complete all relevant shop floor documentation and ensure consistency between product and paperwork.

What You'll Need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar engineering role.
  • Strong experience with cylindrical, surface, internal, and planetary grinding.
  • Solid understanding of manual machining processes and precision tolerances.
  • Engineering qualifications at Level 2 or Level 3.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is highly desirable.
