About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Injection Moulding Process Technician to join our manufacturing team in Ramsgate. This is a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of moulded components during night shift operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating, and optimising injection moulding machines, carrying out tool changes, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set, operate, and optimise injection moulding machines in line with production requirements.

  • Perform tool changes, start-ups, and shut-downs in accordance with company procedures.

  • Monitor and maintain process parameters to ensure consistent part quality.

  • Carry out root cause analysis and corrective actions for process or quality issues.

  • Work closely with the production team to meet output targets and minimise downtime.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.

  • Complete accurate production records and handovers between shifts.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as an Injection Moulding Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong technical knowledge of plastic injection moulding processes.

  • Experience with machine setting and troubleshooting.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Understanding of quality control processes and inspection techniques.

  • Good problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Flexibility to work night shifts and occasional overtime if required.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Recognised qualification in Polymer Processing, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement methods.
