Social Worker - Children & Families

East Kent - Permanent

Salary up to 44,000/annum

Our Client, outstanding in their recent Ofsted inspection, is looking for a skilled and compassionate Assessment Social Worker to join their team in a residential family centre setting.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of vulnerable families through high-quality assessments and support planning within a caring and nurturing environment.

To be considered, you will have full right to work in the UK and will live in East Kent.

The job:

  • Manage a realistic caseload of families, coordinating assessments and placement plans and offering the highest level of support.
  • Conduct community and viability assessments when required.
  • Collaborate with professionals across social care, health, and education.
  • Supervise staff and contribute to their development.
  • Attend court, reviews, and professional meetings.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation are followed.
  • Produce high-quality reports and maintain accurate records.

The Person:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Strong understanding of child protection, residential care regulations, and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including participation in the on-call rota and shift work.
