Our client is looking to appoint a UX/UI Designer on a 12-month fixed term contract.

You will play a key role in designing intuitive, effective, and engaging digital interfaces across our client’s eCommerce platforms. Embedded in the product team, you will collaborate closely with product managers, technical stakeholders, brand teams, and data specialists to create experiences that drive performance, reflect brand individuality, and meet user needs. Experience of designing within the constraints of the Shopify ecosystem is desirable.

This is a full-time position working a 37.5-hour week and our client offers hybrid working.

General duties to include:

  • Working closely with the Brand MDs, Insights and data teams to understand user behaviour, conversion challenges, and journey drop-offs.
  • Conduct usability testing to validate design decisions and identify areas of improvement.
  • Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UIs for web and mobile eCommerce experiences.
  • Adapt and apply different visual languages and interaction styles across multiple brands.
  • Work collaboratively with product managers, brand owners, digital marketers, and technical teams to translate requirements into effective design solutions.
  • Use both qualitative insights and quantitative data (e.g., user feedback, heatmaps, A/B test results) to iterate on and improve designs.
  • Ensure all designs are responsive, accessible, and optimised for performance across devices and platforms.
  • Advocate for customer-centric design within the product team and across the wider business.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong focus on digital products or eCommerce.
  • Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
  • Experience designing customer journeys and interfaces that drive commercial KPIs (conversion, engagement, etc.).
  • Ability to design for multiple brands or user segments with distinct styles and requirements.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams in a product-led environment.
  • A portfolio demonstrating eCommerce-related design work, with clear explanation of your role and impact.
  • Experience working on eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
  • Understanding of CRO, A/B testing, and how to apply data to design decisions.
  • Familiarity with front-end development concepts (HTML/CSS/JS).
  • Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) standards and inclusive design principles.
