An exciting opportunity for an Estimator or Surveyor to join a well-established and reputable carpentry contractor, offering a varied role, long-term career development, and a supportive team environment.

Do you have Estimating or Surveying experience? Have you worked on new build residential projects? Are you looking to join a respected company that truly values its employees and supports ongoing development?

This leading carpentry contractor has built a solid reputation within the residential sector, delivering high-quality window and carpentry services to major housebuilders across Essex and London. Their projects include houses, low-rise, and high-rise apartment blocks, covering all aspects of carpentry including 1st fix, 2nd fix, and timber frame. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to expand their commercial team with the addition of an Estimator.

Based in their Essex office, you will report to the Commercial Manager and support the estimating team with all aspects of tendering. This includes interpreting drawings, completing accurate take-offs, preparing tenders/bids, and occasional site visits as needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on new build housing projects and be looking to take the next step in their career with a company that values initiative, rewards performance, and offers genuine progression opportunities.

The Role:
* Reporting to the Commercial Manager
* Preparing and submitting accurate tender bids
* Measurement and take-offs from drawings
* Liaising with clients and handling variations and queries
* Occasional site visits across Essex and London

The Person:
* Estimating or surveying experience within residential/housing projects
* Carpentry background beneficial but not essential
* Strong proficiency in Excel
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Full UK Driving Licence
