About the Role:
Our client is looking for an Automation Field Service Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role focused on supporting, troubleshooting, and commissioning industrial automation systems in the field.

This role is open to engineers from any industrial or technical background who have strong automation and control systems experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing on-site automation support across customer locations

  • Fault-finding and modifying PLC, HMI, and control systems

  • Carrying out commissioning, upgrades, and system changes

  • Supporting planned maintenance and breakdown response

  • Working with internal engineering teams to deliver solutions

  • Producing clear service reports and technical feedback

  • Building strong working relationships with customers

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in automation, controls, or electrical engineering

  • Hands-on PLC/SCADA/HMI fault-finding and modification experience

  • Comfortable working independently on customer sites

  • Willingness to travel as part of the role

  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
