- Support the recording, reconciliation and analysis of accounting activities and period end close activities in accordance with agreed close schedules and timetables.
- Provide Insight into results during period end close to the FP&A and Business Partner teams, relating to the key cost drivers.
- Production and preparation of audited financial information and technical accounting papers in accordance with accounting standards and support on year-end audit.
- Working across the wider finance team to document, align and improve processes, to drive efficiency and consistency.
- Production and preparation to support the regulatory accounting returns, including monitoring of external reporting requirements and researching accounting issues.
- Respond to ad hoc requests for analytics, through the agreed demand management framework to provide support to Business Partners for costs visibility, business case preparation and investigation into financial performance.
- A qualified CIMA/ACCA or ACA Accountant, ideally with experience of working for a large organisation either in Practice or Industry
- Ability to effectively prioritise multiple projects to meet deadlines and produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Be able to work well as part of a team but also take ownership to complete tasks independently
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interrogate data and build good relationships with stakeholders
- Competitive salary up to £60,000 per annum depending on experience.
