Our client, a significant player in the nuclear sector, is currently seeking a Quality Engineer for a 12-month contract, with an immediate start available. This role includes the opportunity to work on a Nuclear licensed site and will get expenses for this.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing and managing quality control procedures and processes in accordance with industry standards and regulations
- Conducting audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
- Identifying and resolving quality issues through detailed analysis and corrective actions
- Collaborating with engineering and project teams to integrate quality requirements into project plans
- Preparing detailed reports and documentation regarding quality performance and compliance
- Liaising with stakeholders to ensure all quality objectives are met and maintained
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality management systems
- Supporting and mentoring team members to uphold high-quality standards across the project
Job Requirements:
- Experience in quality engineering within the nuclear sector
- SC Clearance is mandatory for this role
- Strong understanding of quality control processes and industry standards
- Proficiency in conducting audits and inspections
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site and remote work
- Effective communication skills for liaising with stakeholders and team members
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
