We are urgently seeking a Design Manager who has at 3-5 years Construction Design Management gained from within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Construction Contractor .

It is essential that the candidate has worked on major Commercial Office Construction and Fit Out Projects.

The successful candidate will be joining a highly profitable, well established Principal contractor that delivers High-End Construction & Refurbishment projects for the Motorsport, Commercial Office and Healthcare Sectors.

This is a truly unique opportunity to work with some high-profile clients, within the world of Formula One, on some innovative and hi-tech construction projects

Office and Site based as the Design Manager you will play a pivotal role in the design and construction processes. Working in conjunction with the Project Management team, you will be responsible for managing design and engineering across various projects.

Your core role will be to ensure that the project team, design consultants, and construction partners develop technically and economically proficient engineering solutions.

This involves implementing design quality procedures that uphold a right-first-time approach whilst identifying opportunities to enhance affordability and value throughout the design process..

The successful candidate will have:

Excellent relationship building skills
A collaborative approach
A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a design manager role for a principal or Tier 1 contractor.
An understanding of different procurement routes and contract forms, specifically JCT DB or JCT SBC/IC with CDP, and how this affects the design process and responsibility of the contractor.
Experience of working on major Non-Residential Construction and Fit Out Projects
Educated to a minimum level of HNC in a Construction related discipline
