Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is searching for a dedicated Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities:- Development of management systems and updating and reviewing documents
- Assist and support the Quality Manager with the effective day-to-day management of Quality Assurance activities
- Coordinate the logging and resolution of Non-Conformance Reports, ensuring robust corrective actions are established and implemented
- Assist with Corrective Action Requests and Root Cause Analysis
- Coordinate the communication of technical files and specifications
- Coordinate the recording of site-based reworks and product orders
- Promote QESH (Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Health) principles and a Customer Focus throughout the company
- Follow through on quality actions to ensure closure
- Support the QESH team with activities
- Travel as required for the role
- Carry out and host external auditor visits
- Completion of reports for supplier visits
- All audits completed no more than one week after due date and closed out within the agreed time
- Completion of tasks, on time and in full, as assigned on the task planner
- Effective resolution of non-conformance reports on time and in full
- Experienced 'systems-based Quality Engineer
- Manufacturing-based experience
- Experience of process development and improvement
- Previous experience of being involved in 3rd party audits
- Full UK Driving Licence, preferably clean
- CSCS SMSTS or SSSTS beneficial but not essential
- Formal engineering qualification beneficial but not essential
- Internal auditor to ISO9001 lead auditor would be an advantage
- Understands 8D, 5Y, etc.
- Good understanding of ISO9001 (ISO14001 an advantage)
- Flexible and adaptable
- Lean experience an advantage
