Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is searching for a dedicated Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities:
  • Development of management systems and updating and reviewing documents
  • Assist and support the Quality Manager with the effective day-to-day management of Quality Assurance activities
  • Coordinate the logging and resolution of Non-Conformance Reports, ensuring robust corrective actions are established and implemented
  • Assist with Corrective Action Requests and Root Cause Analysis
  • Coordinate the communication of technical files and specifications
  • Coordinate the recording of site-based reworks and product orders
  • Promote QESH (Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Health) principles and a Customer Focus throughout the company
  • Follow through on quality actions to ensure closure
  • Support the QESH team with activities
  • Travel as required for the role
Audits & Reporting:
  • Carry out and host external auditor visits
  • Completion of reports for supplier visits
Key Performance Indicators:
  • All audits completed no more than one week after due date and closed out within the agreed time
  • Completion of tasks, on time and in full, as assigned on the task planner
  • Effective resolution of non-conformance reports on time and in full
Job Requirements:
  • Experienced 'systems-based Quality Engineer
  • Manufacturing-based experience
  • Experience of process development and improvement
  • Previous experience of being involved in 3rd party audits
  • Full UK Driving Licence, preferably clean
  • CSCS SMSTS or SSSTS beneficial but not essential
  • Formal engineering qualification beneficial but not essential
  • Internal auditor to ISO9001 lead auditor would be an advantage
  • Understands 8D, 5Y, etc.
  • Good understanding of ISO9001 (ISO14001 an advantage)
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Lean experience an advantage
  • Ambitious but patient
  • Reliable, focused, and consistently delivers results
  • Competent in all aspects of Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
