M4 Recruitment are currently seeking a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team, for a leading metal and stainless-steel company based in Reading.
Role:
- Carrying out pallet deliveries of Metal Products across the country.
- Securing heavy loads.
- Follow routes given to you by the Transport Manager
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects to the Transport Manager immediately
- To complete all paperwork accurately in a timely manner
- Parking of all vehicles at the end of everyday
- Making sure the cab of your lorry is always clean and tidy
- Keep in regular contact with the transport manager, yard managers and weighbridge operators at each site.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license, Taco and CPC.
- Proven experience as an HGV Class 2 driver, ideally with experience in delivering fragile or valuable goods.
- No more than 6 penalty points on your driving license (for insurance purposes).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely.
- A proactive, punctual, and customer-focused approach.
You will be working Monday to Friday, day shift with various start times available.
The pay is Ā£33,000 per year, permanent contract.
