The Role
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance carpentry across university buildings
Install and repair doors, ironmongery, access control and fire-release mechanisms
Fit kitchen units, worktops and internal joinery as required
Support heritage-listed building works and small improvement projects
Provide estimates, material lists and technical input to the wider team
Join the estates on-call rota (approx. 1 in 4-5 weekends) with paid allowance + overtime
You'll Need
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Carpentry / Joinery (essential)
Skilled in building fabric repairs, fixings, door sets and internal carpentry
Competent using woodworking machinery and hand tools
Reliable, organised and comfortable working independently on a large estate
Full UK driving licence
Willing to join on-call rota
