Ivy Resource Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter with experience in passive fire protection to work across a wide geographical patch spanning the M4 corridor, South Coast, and South West. This is a mobile role ideal for someone based between Bristol and Reading.
Key Responsibilities:
Survey and inspect completed and upcoming fire door installations.
Produce detailed checklists and reports to ensure contractor compliance with fire safety regulations.
Carry out remedial repairs to maintain regulatory compliance of fire doors.
Install FD30 and FD60 fire doorsets per manufacturer and legislative standards.
Conduct minor fire stopping and compartmentation sealing works.
Liaise effectively with contractors, store managers, and compliance teams.
Stay up to date with relevant fire safety legislation and best practices.
Requirements:
Proven experience in fire door installation and remedial repairs.
Good understanding of fire door standards (BS 8214, BS 476, BS EN 1634).
Competency in compiling detailed, compliant surveys and reports.
Experience in fire stopping and compartmentation sealing (desirable).
Relevant qualifications (e.g., FIRAS, BM TRADA, IFC) are highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
In-house training from a BM TRADA Approved Person will be provided.
