Berry Recruitment are NOW hiring for an experienced and committed Pastry Chef to work for a fast-growing dessert company in Reading, Berkshire
Role: Pastry Chef (Experienced)
Location: Reading, Berkshire
Hours: Full-time - 8-9 hours per day (5-6 days per week)
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (Depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities of the Pastry Chef:
- Daily preparation and baking of desserts and cake products
- Designing and decorating customised cakes, including 3D themes
- Ensuring hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained
- Managing live cake customisation in-store
- Maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and quality
- Coordinating with the store and kitchen teams to ensure smooth operations
About you:
- Skilled in baking and cake decoration (including fondant & 3D work for experienced candidates)
- Freshers with basic knowledge of baking and cake decoration are welcome
- Passionate about desserts, detail-oriented, and committed to quality
- Willing to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Must have a valid UK visa and be eligible for full-time work
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and long-term commitment.
