About the role of Commercial Manager
As Commercial Manager, you will be joining one of the largest and most successful privately owned construction and development groups in the UK. They predominately focus on a range of sectors including residential, education, commercial, industrial, health, and leisure. You will be based in Reading, managing and overseeing a team of Quantity Surveyors. They have a turnover of over 1bn and are planning to continue to grow. Joining this UK Regional Main Contractor, is great for your career progression, especially if you are a Senior/Managing Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step.
Key Responsibilities of Commercial Manager:
- Attend regular team meetings
- Provide advice to the team on resolving contractual disputes and legal matters in a timely manner
- Ensure high standards of cash flow forecasting
- Review project cash flows with team and present to Commercial Director
- Maintain positive and successful client relationships.
Key Requirements of Commercial Manager:
They are looking for a strong leader who has effectively mentored others in their role previously. You must demonstrate commitment, teamwork and integrity.
- Live within commutable distance to Reading
- Experience in leading/mentoring a commercial team at a Main Contractor
- Construction related degree is ideal but not essential
