Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a sustainable infrastructure company that leads on decommissioning and new build projects across the UK to recruit an EC and I Commissioning Technician on a 12 month contract for its project with a major nuclear client in the Greater Reading area.

The EC and I Commissioning Technician comes with an hourly rate of 54.29, and will be working across the nightshift.

Key skills required for the EC and I Commissioning Technician role

  • Level 3 Qualification (e.g. Training Scheme, or Apprenticeship) related to Electrical Engineering
  • ECS Card / CSCS card.
  • IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
  • Electrical & Instrumentation and Control Systems commissioning experience.


Location, day rate and timeframe of the EC and I Commissioning Technician role

  • An hourly rate of 54.29
  • Working pattern of 11 nights on, 3 days off - purely nightshift working.
  • 11-hour shifts
  • Inside IR35
  • For each day travelled to site, a 100 per diem, if travelling more than 30 miles to site.
