CNC Miller Location: Near AldermastonSalary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum (£20–£22 per hour)Hours: 40 hours per week (flexible start and finish times)Contract: Permanent, Full-TimeWe’re looking for a skilled CNC Miller to join a highly regarded precision engineering firm near Aldermaston. While the company predominantly runs Hurco controls, they are happy to consider CNC Millers with strong experience in Fanuc or other control systems who are open to learning Hurco.The work involves producing low-volume, high-precision components for clients in industries such as aerospace, motorsport, and defence. CNC Miller Duties:
  • Programming, setting and operating 3-axis CNC milling machines (Hurco or similar)
  • Producing small batch and one-off components to tight tolerances (+/- 0.025mm)
  • Working from technical drawings and selecting appropriate tooling
  • Performing multiple tool changes per shift
  • Self-inspection and deburring of finished parts
  • Collaborating with a close-knit workshop team in a subcontract environment
CNC Miller Requirements:
  • Proven experience programming and setting CNC Mills (Hurco, Fanuc, or similar controls)
  • Comfortable working with tight tolerances and complex machining tasks
  • Confident reading engineering drawings and using measuring equipment
  • Ability to inspect own work and carry out minor adjustments as needed
  • Strong awareness of tooling, feeds and speeds
  • Willingness to learn Hurco controls if not already experienced
