We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Sub Contract Supervisor to join our clients team based in Reading. As the Sub contract supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, ensuring the efficient delivery of services while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and operational performance. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize, plan, and communicate maintenance activities, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and staff members are trained and competent.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and manage Specialist Sub-contractors when necessary.
  • Monitor the progress of maintenance tasks, ensuring adherence to plans, customer satisfaction, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the HSE&Q team to monitor safety performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and ensure compliance with Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments, as well as relevant safety documentation.
  • Provide regular updates to Company Management team and clients, maintaining open communication channels.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including timesheets, work orders, and inspection reports.
  • Obtain quotations and provide necessary information for order processing.
  • Assist the commercial team by providing financial completion information.
  • Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance service quality.
  • Attend meetings and liaise with relevant stakeholders as required.
  • Support other ad hoc functions within your skill level, training, and experience.

Candidate Profile:

Skills:

  • Ability to establish, implement, and monitor high standards of excellence in quality, safety, and operational performance.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance disciplines such as Electrical, Mechanical, and Building and Civil Engineering.
  • Proven operational success and experience in a maintenance delivery environment.
  • Proficiency in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality assurance practices.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent people management and leadership abilities.
  • Resilient under pressure with the ability to interact confidently with staff, suppliers, and customers at all levels.
  • Proficient in using IT systems and software.
  • Must meet minimum criteria for security clearance procedures.
  • Willingness to undertake necessary training and medical assessments.
