We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Document Controller to join our client's dynamic and growing team. This key role will support the management and control of technical documentation across various complex projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining smooth project workflows.

Job Title: Document Controller

Salary: 40,000 - 45,000 DOE

Location: Reading

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing and maintaining document control systems that comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing the distribution and revision of technical documents such as drawings, datasheets, reports, manuals, and compliance certificates.
  • Ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive documentation, including system designs, client plans, and tender documents.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, QA, etc.) to maintain consistent document workflows and support project execution.
  • Supporting audits and compliance inspections by organising and retrieving relevant documentation.
  • Developing templates and formats to ensure consistency and compliance across departments.
  • Training and supporting staff on document control procedures.
  • Managing deadlines and submission timelines for regulatory documents.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in document control
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and QA documentation processes
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A problem-solving mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
