This is a wonderful opportunity to join my client, an industry-leading, environmentally-minded Multidisciplinary Company, renowned for lending their expertise to the transport, infrastructure, and environmental landscapes. They are currently on the lookout for a capable, passionate Graduate Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant who is willing to take on a variety of projects alongside an established team of professionals, based near the richly-cultural, highly-sought-after town of Reading.

Responsibilities for the role of Graduate Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant include:
- Working on projects across the public and private sectors, including residential, commercial, and retail developments, as well as renewable energy projects
- Producing technical documents, inducing Flood Risk Assessments (FRA) and Flood Estimation Reports
- Creating Drainage Strategies, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
- Using software such as MicroDrainage and AutoCAD to produce technical work
Required skills and experience for the role of Graduate Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant include:
- A UK Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Geography, Environmental Science, or a cognate discipline
- Good knowledge of Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, and Drainage Design
- Proficient in the use of MicroDrainage and AutoCAD (as well as similar software systems)
- Basic knowledge of Hydraulic Modelling
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Good literacy and numeracy skills, particularly when applied to report writing
- A keen interest in flood risk and drainage, and their importance in environmental and engineering projects
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Graduate Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant include:
- Hold a full, valid UK Driving Licence
- A keen interest in climate change and its effects on water-based environments
